Virtual Instruments

Virtual instruments are sophisticated multi-part recordings of almost every conceivable instrument that can be “played” by other software (sequencing and recording and notation software typically).

They usually come as libraries of either specific instruments or musical genres and often allow extensive manipulation to ensure close to live performance characteristics.

These programs are mostly used where there is relevant senior secondary and tertiary curriculum.
